David Michael Hartley

David Hartley, 30, of Colorado, was gunned down in Mexican waters while his wife, Tiffany, dodged bullets and raced her jet ski back to American soil.

Lawlessness associated with the activities of Mexican drug cartels has been an escalating problem for law enforcement agents along the border regions of Texas. Now Mexican Pirates have recently struck by attacking a couple at Falcon Lake in Texas where they were believed to be sightseeing and jet-skiing. The couple identified as David and Tiffany Hartley were shot at by the pirates on the Mexico side of the 60-mile-long lake straddling the Texas border. According to the reports, Tiffany managed to escape the shots unharmed, but Mr. Hartley was reportedly shot in the head.

A search for the man is full on but he is feared to be dead from the gunshot wound to his head. The wife of David Hartley was chased by armed pirates on a boat in Falcon Lake, but she managed to get away. According to the officials, this is not the first occurrence of Mexican pirates belonging to drug cartels attacking people at the Falcon Lake area, but this is definitely the first time an American has died as a result.
